Karen Rae Kraut has been blending story, song and creative movement in schools, libraries, museums and theaters from California to East Tennessee since 1990. She earned a Masters degree in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University, has toured for the Smithsonian, and was commissioned by the McCallum Theatre to create a storyteller's version of Mozart's "The Magic Flute." Karen's CD, "Cooler Water Cora and Other Stories," is the winner of an iParenting Media Award for Audio Excellence and a National Parenting Publications Honors Award. She has been performing regularly in Inland Valley Storytelling concerts since 2005.
Karen Rae has been performing at events sponsored by for many years. She has performed for Riverside's First Sundays program since its inception in 1997.
Two years ago Karen Rae & puppeteer Nicole Cloeren of Puppets a la Carte performed an interactive storytelling & puppetry series of Zoom events sponsored by Universal Stories of Friendship and Understanding in conjunction with Mission Inn Foundation's Toward Peace project.
